Available Water Determinations
In the Macquarie and Cudgegong Regulated Rivers and the Lower Macquarie Groundwater Sources, Available Water Determinations (AWDs) are made for each access licence category at the start of the water year and if required, during the course of the year. AWDs are made in accordance with the rules set out in the Water Sharing Plan for the Macquarie and Cudgegong Regulated Rivers Water Source and the Water Sharing Plan for the Lower Macquarie Groundwater Sources.
Allocation Announcement - 18 August 2010
The NSW Office of Water has increased the AWD for Macquarie-Cudgegong General Security users to 47%.
The water allocations for town water supply, high security, stock and domestic users, is already at 100% of entitlement.
Allocations will be reviewed whenever additional resources become available. More information regarding the Available Water Determinations is available on the NSW Office of Water website www.water.nsw.gov.au
Supplementary Water Event - 12 August 2010 - FURTHER EXTENDED
The current supplementary event has been extended to 126 hours for Macquarie River water users downstream of Warren Weir. Pumping will be available on the following days and times in the following river sections:

Supplementary Water Event - 1 August 2010 - FURTHER EXTENDED

Allocation Announcement - 26 July 2010
The NSW Office of Water has today increased the AWD for Macquarie-Cudgegong General Security users to 6 %.
The water allocations for town water supply, high security, stock and domestic users, is already at 100 % of entitlement.

The NSW Office of Water announced Available Water Determinations (AWD) for surface water users in the Macquarie and Cudgegong Regulated River, for the 2010-2011 water year commencing on 1 July 2010:

With the continuing low inflows, the Macquarie and Cudgegong Regulated River Water Sharing Plan remains suspended.
The Bureau of Meteorology have recently indicated the possible development of La Nina conditions may bring above average rainfall across large parts of NSW during late winter or early spring.
The NSW Office of Water will continue to closely monitor the situation and make further announcements as new resources become available.
The AWDs for the Lower Macquarie Groundwater Sources were also announced on 1 July 2010:

Supplementary water access licence holders are reminded that supplementary water allocations in the Lower Macquarie Groundwater Sources may be taken at any time and at any rate during the current water year, subject to any restrictions announced by the Minister.
